Shannon is a Provisional License Professional Counselor (PLPC) supervised by Jill Harding, LPC (Lic. # 2014032305) with a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Missouri – St. Louis and a Bachelors in Criminal Justice from UMSL. She joined Magnolia Counseling Services in 2022. Shannon has experience working with individuals from many different backgrounds dealing with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relational conflicts, and other issues. She is a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community and has a passion for working with those affected by issues that this community faces.
Shannon works from an integrated therapeutic approach. Depending upon the needs of her individual clients, she selects approaches which would best serve her client. She frequently utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Person Centered Therapy, and Mindfulness. She believes in a therapeutic relationship built on trust, authenticity, and respect. Shannon believes that establishing a strong therapeutic relationship is essential for helping clients accomplish their goals.
$70 per 50 minute session
Reduced fee services based on income are available on a limited basis.
If you miss a scheduled session without canceling, or cancel with less than 24 hours notice, it is my policy to collect the full cost of the session.
Shannon is out of network with all insurance providers and is willing to provide a receipt for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
Cash, check, and all major credit cards are accepted for payment of copays or self-pay sessions.
