Aphantasia
Annie is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC - lic. #2025044066), under the supervision of Jill Harding, LPC, NCC (lic. #2014032305), with a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Missouri in St. Louis and a Bachelors in Integrated Studio Arts. She has experience working with adults of all ages (21+) and from many diverse ethnic backgrounds. She works with issues relating to trauma, grief, anxiety, self-identity and LGBTQIA+ issues, and relational struggles including polyamory and ENM.

Annie works from an integrated therapeutic approach, blending Person-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Art Therapy, and EMDR. She weaves knowledge of family dynamics, multicultural sensitivity, and mindfulness into a compassionate, empowering approach. When appropriate, she embraces humor and ‘therapeutic geekery’ using shared interests, metaphors, and creativity to foster connection and healing. Her style is as authentic as it is evidence-based: think collaborative, genuine, occasionally light-hearted, and deeply human.

In the therapy room, Annie strives to create space where her clients can feel safe and seen. She is comfortable with silence and does not shy away from difficult topics. Annie recognizes that trauma manifests uniquely in each person’s life, and she meets clients with empathy, curiosity, hope, and deep respect for their individual experiences.

Annie will meet you exactly where you are, offering a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel truly seen and heard. As a compassionate witness to your story, she believes healing flourishes in the context of genuine connection, built on trust and even moments of shared humor. While the work may feel challenging at times, she brings warmth and collaboration to every session and holds a firm belief in your resilience to remind you that you don't have to walk this road alone.
